Our search for The 2027 Classics Company has begun.

General Auditions

  • Date: Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19

  • Time: 11am–4pm by appointment only

  • Location: Nazareth University Performing Arts Center

  • What to prepare: A short monologue (memorized or read) under one minute and thirty seconds (1:30) that is in classical verse. Molière preferred, see sample monologues below

Ives’s “rom-com for wordsmiths” is an irreverent and unique blending of 17th century Paris with 21st century verse.

Who can audition?

Auditions are open to actors of any age, race, gender identity/expression, and ability. The Classics Company does not have an Actors Equity agreement. Both union and non-union actors will be considered.


What is the audition process like?

Each 15-minute audition slot will include 3 actors. Prepare a short monologue under one minute and thirty seconds (1:30) that is in classical verse (Molière preferred).


What if I can’t make the audition date?

If you cannot make First Auditions in person, we will be accepting online submissions through April 30. Send video along with headshot/resume and audition form with “Video Submission” in the Subject line to: Casting@TheClassicsCompany.org 


What happens after the audition?

Callbacks will happen in late May (tentatively scheduled May 25-27 in the evenings) and must be in person. Offers will be made by June 30, 2026. Roles will be compensated.
